Because I no longer live in London, and morning train fares are prohibitively expensive, I now come up to London the evening before shooting day and spend the night so we can start filming first thing in the morning. The plan was to use Sunday evening to do a quick live Q&A then record a 2nd feature length commentary track for Shadows (we will release the 1st one at some point, honest). In the event, the Q&A lasted an hour and a half - which we definitely hadn't expected as our previous live streams have been train wrecks - leaving no time for the commentary track which got bumped to Monday.

First thing on Monday we caught up with Detractors commentaries (accessible to Acolytes and Shadows), including some for films I last watched in summer so thoughts may not have been as lucid as would have been ideal. We also recorded a couple of Shadow shout-outs then broke for lunch.

After lunch we were back on normal reviews for The Sinister Urge, Sisters of Death, The Magnetic Monster, Death Machines and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. The last two of these are part of a season of Shadow requests that we're doing. We then recorded an Undead, talking about cinema etiquette. The plan was to then record voiceover for an upcoming special about Indiana Jones that Graham has written, and then onto the commentary track, unfortunately the people upstairs then started playing loud music which continued long enough to knock that on the head. The only other thing we managed to do was a couple of pick-ups for the voiceover for Part 2 of The Hammer Frankenstein. So when that comes out next week you may occasionally be able to hear Gorillaz in the background, but I hope not.

“Shooting Day” lacks the confusing panache of “GARBAGE DAY!”, don’t you think? I may have to bump myself back down to Acolyte if this continues.
