Why did you choose to make a webcomic about swords?
I made one, people liked it, so I made more.

What do you use to make the series?
A Surface Pro 6 and MediBang Studio
Episodes 1-314 were made on a Surface Pro 4 before it's untimely demise - thankyou to everyone who pitched in for a replacement at that time.

How long does an episode take to make?
Between 1-3 hours depending on the level of detail

Is creating Swords your full-time career?
No, I have a full time job and making webcomics is my hobby. I'm hoping with your support I can make going pro an option in the future.

Have you won any awards for the series?
Swords won the Sir Julius Vogel Award 2020 for Best Professional Publication
Swords was also referred to as "The Most Wholesome Thing On The Internet In 2020" by BBC News which is almost as good as a trophy

Do you own any swords in real life?
No.

Do you play Dungeons and Dragons?
Only a little.

Can I use your sword and character concepts in my Dungeons and Dragons campaign?
If it is for personal use, you are more than welcome to. If it is for a podcast, YouTube series or the like, we should talk first.
There are a few weapon rules and maps available on my Patreon to help get you started.

When is Axes/Bows/Spears/Shields/Guns/Maces/etc./etc./etc.?
You can read Guns, Axes, Shields and Muscles already. I release a new one on April 1st every year.
Additionally, you can read an extended miniseries called Axes on Patreon.

When are you finishing Steel Tribe?
I have a few more serious stories like Steel Tribe that I would like to continue, but I have no plans to do so while working a full time job and making Swords.

When are you releasing a book?
The early episodes of Swords were drawn at a very low resolution, so I'm still trying to figure out the best way to bring the series to print.

When are you releasing a video game?
I'm always looking for the best way to make it happen.

Can I help you make a video game?
No, I'm not interested in making a small indie title with inexperienced people. Sorry.

What is your favourite episode?
I think I did a great job with Dark - fun fact, I drew it on a plane!

Who is your favorite character?
I don't have a most favourite, but I like edgy characters like Kris the Necromancer, the Edgesmith and Hellswing the most. They're always fun to draw.
