Hello and happy easter~!

I have some news regarding the release of the YBF Day 4 Demo.  According to our programmer, she’s looking at the end of April for a release.  Day 4 is shaping out to be a bit bigger than we imagined so we’d like to reward your guys patience with what we have cooking so far.
Waiting to incorporate asset updates (which you will see in the demo), babies and the other joys in life near Dec/Jan have also delayed things past the initial release of Day 4 for Winter, but we’d like to do things right and not rush for you guys.  Everyone on the team is rolling full stream into this game.

As you’ve noticed we’re doing updates on the sound design and music, so don’t be surprised if you hear some new tracks and themes in different areas when the demo drops.

I'm also working on an outline for Day 5 and the writing team will probably jump on that soon once we can review together.

Here are some arts for Day 4:

Thank you guys for all your love and support!
Kisses~!

YB will terrify me this day, I just know it. I will continue my quest to be as kind to him as possible, because if he even glares at me i will cry

The way one of the images say “Forest jumpscare 2” I’d image first one it doesn’t feature YB as it slides to this one and if there’s 3 or 4 you may get one of them that displays YB finding you, or your lucky and he walks past not being able to see you. I wonder if you’re running in the forest you have to listen for footsteps and hide or else YB will find you. But it’s mostly possible that there is more than one jump scare in the forest.

Ahhh I'm so excited! Keep up the good work

is it possible to restart just one day instead of all 3, because sometimes i want to restart day 2 but i gotta restart it all.

I feel bad because I'm so late to the fandom and doesn't feel like I have to wait as long 😅

ya'll know what? i think you guys should start rushing the production of day 4 for a bit, it's been delayed for over four months now and like it or not--- IT IS JUST A DEMO-- and a demo isn't supposed to be a finished full game polished product, it's supposed to be a demonstration of what the game will look like when it's finished

Myu-Chan

unity is not suited for this type of game, that's why it takes longer, they should turn all of it into renpy code, renpy works with python code and it was made to create games like "your boyfriend" much easier, i just think that instead of wasting time making this game on unity, they should use renpy (renpy is so much easier and saves time, it's to make games specifically like this one) tbh idk why they didn't change the program yet they should just give up on unity, renpy is much easier and it's the right game to code there, they would have already completed the entire game if it was made on renpy, sometimes i think they don't change it on purpose

Has anyone heard any word? The post talks about the end of April, and....we're in May now. I get game design takes a bit but they really gotta keep everyone in the loop.

@Myu-Chan Okay.. you're talking about something i have seriously no clue about but it sounds like you know your stuff so i feel the urge to agree like... admittingly i know absolute 0 about coding and game making but YB is (no disrespect) just a visual novel... it feels like it shouldn't take this long to get something playable out, so yeah, i'm fully on board with accepting the theory that they've just chosen a non-optimal game engine and that's what dragging stuff out for so long (that and that the coder just gave birth i suppose.. babies take a lot of care and energy after all)
