Is the blues I teach 'authentic' or not? Presumably not, if those teaching 'authentic blues' are doing something differently from me.

It can also be annoying. If some people claim that they are dancing 'authentic' blues, then there is a very strong implication that others who dance differently must be inauthentic and therefore inferior.
