Blade Tech

Foxglove, I love yea, but Mac is too much good guy for that to work.

krazykat

Oh no. You were doing so well Mack. It's not that you and Foxglove are wrong about about Mayapple and Crow in broad strokes (he is very good at being bad, she is very bad at being good) but neither of you are heading down a good path, or learning to face your own flaws instead of blaming others.

Foxgloves problems at this point are largely her own fault. She wouldn't have lost everything if she hadn't attacked Humanity to begin with. She lost her life temporarily mainly because of her own lack of escape plan when she had her superweapon. Her own people saw her as a tyrant to the point that they didn't even have a funeral for her. Mayapple is mainly being used as a convenient scapegoat for Fox to vent her rage on.

Mack is kinda conceded for a hero, anti-hero might be a better fit as I'm not sure he's got the heart to go full villain. Also you don't either Foxglove.

Mack would probably make a good vigilante type hero. Not someone that would want to help kill princesses.

WierdWebLurker

The funniest thing is, both of them are against the system on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Mack is a hero in a world where heroes are about as important as the local sports team, Foxglove is a villain in a world where villains are more showmen than destroyers. It’s true they’re both incredibly disillusioned, but I definitely can’t see them working together.

I don't want Mack to turn villain. I mean maybe he could be a good Crow-like... but he would always stay in Crow's shadow in vilainy. And after his whole speech about his hero job (the old man) in x99 lives, it would feel very strange. I don't think he would be able to attack the old man without mercy instead of wanting to protect it.

If the title of the comic implies anything, Foxglove is, forgive the pun, going down a rabbit hole of madness, rage, hubris, and (frankly) delusional entitlement. Her mania, such as it is, is as strong or worse than Lark's - but evidently far more concealable. You ever wonder why "mad" is another term for "crazy"? Because people become obsessed with their hatred, their anger, to the point that it drives them out of their minds - which has clearly happened to Foxie here. Either Mac manages to pull out "super hero psychiatrist" moments, or Fox is going even further off the deep end.

NandoTNT

Crow is a showman, a great villain, but is a wild card even among villains and issue 12 cover shows that he's capable of going against his normal routine and willing to destroy anything and everything to get what he wants.

Dark ninja

Mack could never fit as a villain, but a vigilante/dark hero would fit, with foxglove as his villain/love interest, a sort of batman/catwoman scenario

Blade Tech

I wound love that. Although I don’t think Batman and cat woman would be accurate comparison, this is a whole different level of complicated relationships.
