Hope July was a joyous month filled with sunshine and rainbows! If not, at least August is here. And if August throws you a curveball, September is usually pretty great. And if September sucks, don’t worry - at that point, you’re only a couple of months away from Doctor Who’s 60th Anniversary!

We’ll try to keep you buoyant whatever the weather here on RoD. Hello and welcome to our new RoDers. It’s a pleasure to have you here and it’s so gratifying and exciting to see this community grow. We love reading your feedback on Patreon, in the comments section under the YouTube videos and conversing over on Discord!

Time to fill you in (“Ooh err!”) on what’s to come from the RoD Boys this month.

We’ve been keeping something close to our chests for a while now and although we felt like waiting till everything was in the can, it only feels fair to tell you all first…joining us for Ep58 is everyone’s favourite WhoTuber (literally) JOSH SNARES!

We’ve wanted to invite Josh on the show since the start of the podcast but we've been waiting for the right episode. So why not subject them to the most hated animated reconstruction of all time, 'The Web of Fear'? Josh had to cover a missing episode (it was written into their contract...), so we decided to make it as difficult for them as possible - call it an initiation…

We'll be asking you guys to vote on some bits in the coming weeks and months. We're open to doing anything y'all fancy so let us know what you think.

Also, Pickaxe is entering into a cool sponsorship deal with aural experts Shure which will mean RoD gets furnished with some really nice new bits of tech (a new mic each and possibly some other bits!). Kudos to Yogscast for agreeing to cover the shipping costs of the gear to NZ. Also, we're aiming to be part of Pickaxe Week across Yogs channels this September, similar to last year's special where we ranked every Jodie episode and talked about the *then* new logo!
