The Boys Are Back In Town!

The Review of Death will be attending their first convention since January 2020 this November for Fantom Events’ Pandorica 2021 in Bristol.

We’ll be tackling the first ever multi-Doctor story, ‘The Three Doctors’, a choice legitimately dictated by the logo and poster I did for the live show!

I always try to draw on local influences for our live event graphics (like for the cancelled VworpCon 2020 poster and video which had a yellow and black hazard tape motif reminiscent of Manchester’s infamous Haçienda nightclub). This one for Pandorica 2021 wasn’t influenced by local culture (if it was, there would be cans of Thatchers Gold and red-breasted robins all over it 😂). Instead, I wanted to do something wrestling themed - no idea why. I settled on recreating a logo from a top-tier WCW pay-per-view called STARRCADE (specifically STARRCADE ‘94, the one with “THREE MAIN EVENTS”…a.k.a. “NO MAIN EVENT”)!

Anyway, given it was promoted as a triple header with Hulk Hogan, Vader and Sting at the top of the card, I thought riffing on the original poster would be fun, but replacing them with Bill, Pat and Jon.

And that’s the story of how that came about. 😂

We haven’t been formally announced by the Fantom team yet, but I wanted to get the news out there just in case they announce it too late for people who want to come to buy tickets/accommodation, etc.

Also in attendance; Colin Baker, Katy Manning, Wendy Padbury, Peter Purves, Bob Baker, June Hudson, Tim Treloar, Chris Chapman and many many more guests!
