Hello,Girst of all I apologise for taking so long to respond, this question is oddly quite tough for me.I'd say what I recognise that I'm a doing pretty well for a guy who only works in black&white, and despite the overwhelming manga influence I have managed to create a bit of a look that's quite unique. I believe this stems from my insular experience with art, as I've never taken courses or gone through a structured programme, I'm entirely scatter brained and undisciplined, the way I deal with improving is brute forcing through actual finisihed pics until I get better as a side effect.Honestly I wouldn't recommend it but it does lead to me finding pretty personnal answers to many challenges, hence forming a bit of an oddball style. I put in a lot of effort, probably not very well managed and focused, but I am reaping some reward in seeing my work appeal to many people, it does make me a bit proud :) Cheers

What part of your style are you the most proud of? What reasons?

Burustandin

I was taken to Versailles when I was really young, but I haven't been back since, I admit I try to avoid Paris so a lot of the known bits I've only briefly gone through =O I enjoy paved streets and dense old city centers more than any specific spot, we have plenty of those (Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon, Nantes etc.)

Burustandin

I don't! However if you count Australian as a distinct language I guess I know a bit of Québécois =>

I went to winter Comiket 2018 and met Great6 and Motchie in person, who were very welcoming and pleasant, but also had wholesome interactions with Bonten, Numahana, Eroquis and quite a few more, I don't speak any Japanese but I handed out business cards and I was pretty excited most of them seemed to know of me. I will return one day, but only in winter (august is unbearably hot and humid)

Too many to list, I love all things duck, mid-strength cheese (molten) and onions, I despise undercooked vegetables, beats and artichoke.

Burustandin

No ! I respect their scope and success, One piece above the others because of its great designs and rich visual atmosphere. Bleach has nice designs and has every shonen beat when it comes to girls, Naruto remains quite bland in my eyes save for a few standouts.

Not sure if I asked this before but here goes anyway: did you read any Italian school mainstream comics like Dylan Dog or Zagor? They were incredibly popular in my home country.

Burustandin

You haven't as far as I remember! I have not read any maintream Italian comics but a fellow artist from a country adjacent to Italy mentioned Dylan Dog, I haven't had a chance to actually read through one although I have seen them in specialised stores. They have not penetrated the French mainstream, but we do know and revere quite a few Italian authors and inkers, mainly Hugo Pratt and yes, Milo Manara :) Not to forget the best inker of all time, Sergio Toppi, blessed be his name.
