Adèle Blanc-sec (Patreon)

Adèle is French comic "Heroine" that is very dear to my heart, I talked at length about why in an older poll where I tried to slip her in!

For this pic, remaining on the Rough side, I tried to create a bit of a cozy old-timey atmosphere, as her adventures take place in the early 20th Century. She ended up being put in Cryo-sleep when all this great war business went on, waking up in the aftermath, she reads about it sifting back through the papers left on her doorstep while she was frozen.

Her comment as she reads about the escalation of the war translates to:

"Now everyone's joining in"

"Talk about piling up the fodder..."

The tone isn't quite right, she's a bit more of a petty cynic than than an objector, but I think it still sticks =)

Also, I ain't apologizing for that 1918 trailing bush! (ok ok, apocryphal Hairless alt below)
