FPP Model, Hub World, and Design Update

Hello everyone,

This week, we’ve focused on finalizing Mouth X FPP face assets, enhancing the Hub world visuals, and addressing crucial bug fixes.

Mouth X FPP

We’re showcasing 8 emotions for Mouth X in the FPP model. Check them out!

Lighting & Environmental Enhancements

We’re exploring baked lighting for better efficiency and visuals. Town lighting has been brightened for a more N64-inspired look.

Asset Integration & Town Expansion

We’ve added new reskin assets and expanded the town layout with more trees, buildings, and a zoom function for easier navigation.

Artistic License & Cultural Symbolism

We’re pushing boundaries with fictional symbols that parody historical and religious imagery, using camel toes, breasts, dongs, and other sexual motifs in negative space. The classical term for this is "horror vacui," Latin for "fear of empty space." Looks like those college classes finally paid off! We’re also proposing an in-game festival to immerse players in the lore through ceremonial garb, flags, and ornaments used by Mid-Sky’s fictional factions that may be wearing these. Gameplay Improvements & Bug Fixes

We’ve fixed visual bugs, including dong model scrambling and submental sprite issues. Easter egg audio content is now accessible only after multiple clicks. And a new hover tooltip has been added to the eugenics menu for gleaming quick info about the skilltree items.

Looking Ahead

Next, we’ll integrate the hideout into the town and refine town designs. We’re also developing emblem designs for deeper meaning and visual appeal.
