Everything builds. Everything becomes more. As a writer writes, the story unfolds. In that respect, 2023 was a year of building and growth for me. The trail of words leads on, and the story only grows as I howl out my song.

I kept up with convention appearances this year, and I attended six cons, all of which I had a presence at selling my books. As part of that, in March, I returned to Fur the ‘More to celebrate their 10th con with them as a previous Guest of Honor along with all their other previous guests of honor. I was greatly honored to be back there, and I appreciate what they did for all of us. The experience also proved to be really fun, and I’m planning to be at Fur the ‘More this year, but this time just as a regular old attendee.

My novel, Scars of the Golden Dancer, was nominated for a Cóyotl Award, a Leo Literary Award, and an Ursa Major Award. It even won a Cóyotl and Leo award, something I’m very thankful for. I want to thank everyone who voted for my novel in the awards. It means a lot to me.

I also released my latest book, Gnoll Tales, at Anthrocon, a collection of myths and folktales in a fantasy setting. This is a shorter book than my other books, my first PG book I’ve released, but people seem to have really enjoyed it. I’m planning to revisit that setting later, and writing those stories has helped me with the world building in that setting. On top of that, I also had three stories published this year. For adult stories, “The Darkness in the Light” appeared in FANG 11 and “The Morning After” appeared in Chasing Tail, Issue 1. I had a clean story, “As the Gods Demand” that came out In the Light of the Dawn.

As the new year dawns, I’m working to finish the draft of The Blood of Life, an erotic furry novel, which I am focusing on getting down and polished up. I’m not sure yet when I’ll release it, but the plan is at some point this year. I’ve also got some final touches to do on my next Furry Historical Fiction Society submission.

Finally, my Patreon is going strong, and I’ve been thinking of what I can do to improve it. I’ve had a few issues with Amazon not always picking up my eBooks from Ingram Spark, and that’s something I’ve been researching. While there may be a way for me to solve this, I’m planning to launch a dedicated eBook store later this month to help with distribution.

While 2024 has just begun, it’s already looking exciting.
