I hope everyone is staying safe and following your local social distancing guidelines. I expect all of us are under a stay-at-home order of some kind. Currently, I barely leave the house, limiting my time out of the house to essential activities only. I’m working from home, so my morning commute is the twenty to thirty seconds it takes me to get over to my desk when it’s time to sign in.

Because of all these changes, I’ve got a lot more free time now, so you think I’d be highly productive. I’ve not been. It’s not to say I’m not getting things done, but it’s a bit hard for me to pull myself away from the stress of the situation. Many things are just on hold. I’m one of those writers who likes to go out to a coffee shop and write. Obviously with the public health crisis currently, I can’t do that. I do my day job now in the exact same spot I do most of my writing. If I want to go work somewhere else, I can take my laptop and go sit in a different room of the house.

When I posted my story in March, I had planned that to be a bonus story, and I would complete editing on another piece I had and post that. Then mid-March happened with a growing sense of crisis that threw things out of whack. Now I’m trying to stay motivated while the outside world feels like it’s on fire. Deadlines are still happening, time is still pass, and work most get done. I still need to edit the story I want to use for this month’s Patreon story. I’ll be working on that this week, and I did finish a submission for FANG, that I hope to see get accepted.

Finally, as a bit of good news, there is now an audio version of “Loving You is Wrong” that appeared in the Voice of Dog podcast. This podcast has a lot of great fiction, so if you need something to listen to, check it out.
