It depends on the point of the pin. With Winter and Molly their flag accessories were to show that they are proud and happy lesbians and by that making their LGD... stronger. If it is to show she's gay it may not be necessary (like with Eliza and Amanda) unless you really want people who are seeing the character for the first time to know that about her

As an alternative. You can have her say it herself in a text bubble. a flag hair pin, no other character has the flag on their hair. Or a lesbian handkerchief, works aesthetically as an orientation indicative and it's functional as a cleaning accessory if she or someone close to her needs to clean something
