My father directed TV commercials for a living (in Chicago), so I grew up used to all that. Dad always said that his favorite actor to shoot with was Vincent Price, who was a total pro and a gentleman. Bad Movies That I Love: I can think of two that I discovered, thanks to TCM: RETURN TO TREASURE ISLAND (1954), in which Tab Hunter and Jim Hawkins's descendant Jamesina try to protect the island from thieves. It was clearly shot on the lowest of budgets and the tightest of shooting schedules. And THE COOL ONES (1967), one of those preposterous studio attempts to appeal to those young kids and their new music while missing the point, and the mark, completely and hilariously.

I love how you just casually dropped that your father directed Vincent Price lmao!! That's incredible! Haven't seen any of those movies but RTTI sounds intriguing! Love a good bad movie!

turbulence 3 is ridiculous and i love it. and there's a lifetime movie i refer to as "the syph movie" (actually called she's too young), about a bunch of high schoolers with syphilis. my favorite line comes when the public health nurse asks patient zero for a list of his sexual contacts and he tells her "you'd better stick them all, because i probably did." it's (probably unintentionally?) hilarious. and for some reason marcia gay harden is in it, which . . . 🤷‍♀️

Lifetime movies are some of the funniest things EVER filmed. Absolutely wild that half of them are made lol
