Sorkin played with you and us too. In Two Cathedrals we were ALL rooting for him to run for reelection in that final scene. We wera all for it and we all hoped he would just say "Fuck it, I'm staying" and that's exactly what made CJ and the others in a difficult position The spectator is faced not only with a conflict between Bartlet and his staff around the reelection decision, but with a conflict of what we wanted at the end of Two Cathedrals and what it brought us in Manchester We were the one rooting for the thing that got CJ in trouble and now we feel bad for her. This is such a smart way of keeping the spectator attached to the show and making them feel a part of it As far as the storylines in the episode, I'll keep my comments for after the Part 2. Let's just say these two episodes are probably in my top5 as a whole

As much as it is sketchy that a Trump PAC is paying for Walt Nauta's legal defense, this episode does generate a bit of sympathy for that.
