William Friedkin was one of the most powerful voices in American cinema. His career spanned 50 years and many of his films are still influential today. As a student and lover of great films, his were not only influential but very resonant with me. The world has lost a true visionary but his films will last forever. If you are not familiar with his films I implore you to watch them. The French Connection, The Exorcist, Sorcerer, Cruising and To Live and Die in L.A. being my recommendations. If you love cinema or you are a fan of auteurs with true artistic vision, you cannot go wrong with the films of William Friedkin. RIP.
