Had a crazy week, had no chance to watch this till now. Ooooh, but I'm so happy I watched your reaction now! This is such a great episode, things are really piling up. (Also, this was the episode, plus the next one, where I had small scratches on my DVD discs, and couldn't play part of the ep. The horror!) The issues were all interesting for me (as a non-American). I wonder if Toby's stats about homicides in US vs composite of many strict-gun-control countries are true. It sounded shocking.

Rewatching with you guys has confirmed West Wing is a very solid #2 in my top 5 of all time, I doubt it will move up or down from there ever.....soooooooo gooooooood. An 8.2 on IMDB and it's the 17th best episode of the season...smh. Originally airing on February 7, 2001, 'Bartlet's Third State of the Union' is Episode 13 of Season 2 of The West Wing.
