This is why I'm glad the actors talk about how this show is less about succession and more about abuse. Their interactions with Logan will continue to be frustrating because they're his victims. I can't wait until you find out more about Kendall, Roman, and Shiv's mom at some point because they didn't stand a chance. I guess Logan thinks that because he didn't physically beat them like how his uncle beat him then his kids haven't been abused (which is honestly typical for a lot of older generations, they think they had it worse so nothing they do to us is as bad). Kendall being a drug addict, Shiv separating from him, and Connor and Roman's own issues confuse Logan because he thinks his kids should just cope and move on but even he doesn't see how he was a victim too.

Very good insights. In this episode, the interaction with the therapist showed to what extent Logan's children are traumatized by him.

Great comment. I do think however that Logan used to beat physically at least one of them( Roman, but I won't get into this until Joe and Kevin get ahead in the show). It's very interesting how his children think he doesn't like to get in the pool but in the end we see that he just won't let anyone ( besides Marcia) know that the reason for that is that he was a victim of abuse. In the same way he doesn't like to talk about his trauma, he teached all of his kids to do the same and each cope in a different and unhealthy way. Shiv bottles up her emotions and cheats Tom with someone who makes her feel in control, Connor is delusional, Kendall has his addiction and Roman makes jokes about his traumas that a lot of the times are at least partially true( I believe he was sexually abused, but not by Connor as he joked)

" You're so jealous of what you've given to your own kids" I didn't understood what Kendall meant when I first watched this but on rewatch I think he read Logan to filth here. Abusive parents who had abusive childhoods can act like their kids have it easier than them just because of how they improved financially in life in comparison to their own childhoods. In Logan's case he thinks he spoiled all of them and they are fucked because of that but he never gave them love and that's the real reason why they're fucked imo.

Am I the only one who has had some issues with the reactions? Nothing big but when I click play exactly the same time as you it goes with the same speed for some time but then somehow its a second or so ahead of the reaction. Is this something everyone has or just me? Any way to fix it? And btw, I really like your reactions. I'm here for succession, mad men and west wing mostly.

You missed Joey Brooks from The Big Short (the guy at JP Morgan who tells Brownfield their fund isn't big enough to get an ISDA) - fun lil Jeremy Strong/Adam McKay connection.
