In the episodes where you see all the main characters presenting themselves in the intro, it's usually because it's an episode almost all on its own. Like episodes that are not so linked to the big storylines in the season and that you can watch as a casual watcher. So even if people just watch that one, they'd know who these characters are. This episode was so over-the-moon funny and EVERY scene was incredible. The waking up of the President. The Root Canal. The Meeting in the Oval Office. Geography by Sam. And YET The West Wing didn't refuse to give us another amazing and emotional scene with Mendoza and Toby

P.S. Martin Sheen showed in Grace and Frankie how GREAT a comedy actor he can be, here in TWW you get glimpse of it, perfectly balanced with drama moments

I second your everything, including the Grace and Frankie comment. ✌🏻

Sam gets called a "freak" in Leo's office for his absurd ability to figure out Mendoza's route from Nova Scotia. Not a spoiler but seeing that reminded me that Sam gets called a "freak" again, in a future episode. You'll know when you hear it.

Shoutout to the recurring element of Josh hanging up on people by simply closing his flip phone on them (with AtTituDE), and wonderfully subverted here when he realizes he’s talking to no one and - ahem - flips himself off.

Aaron Sorkin called Succession the best show on television - so definitely a good one if you like The West Wing!

Oh, and hello there in Kansas! The Carr brothers and the Clutter Family Killings. I'm anti death penalty too, but man sometimes you can see the appeal, crass though it may be.

John Spencer did win an Emmy and the video is on YouTube. The reaction of Whitford, Lowe, all the others around him losing their minds is awesome.

I have a t-shirt with the "No, I did not. Let me be absolutely clear I did not do that. Except yes, I did that." quote on it.

This might be the funniest episode of the series.

It was extremely funny. Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford really showed their comic chops here.
