The Blouse Barn is in Elmdale, which has been established as the slightly nicer town a few miles from Schitt's Creek, with more and slightly better shopping options. Wendy, the owner of the Blouse Barn, is played by Robin Duke, another of the multitude of performers who originated in the Canadian "Second City" troupe. When Catherine O'Hara left the SCTV series in 1980, Robin Duke was her replacement, until O'Hara returned a year later.

By far one of the best cold openings ever. *chef's kiss* The symbolism of the emotionally and relationally stunted kids learning to ride a bike is just great. Not at all subtle, but who the heck cares.
