(Catching up after a few weeks of not-enough-time:) Catherine O'Hara began (like Eugene Levy) in the Toronto branch of the famous improv/sketch comedy group Second City, and then for years on its TV offshoot SCTV, the gold standard of television sketch comedy series. This involved singing in spoof contexts, like her immortal depiction of a stereotypical Vegas starlet, "Lola Heatherton." (She and Levy also did their share of singing in the Christopher Guest mockumentary comedy movies, particularly Waiting for Guffman and A Mighty Wind.)

Ugh. Bob again. Ugh. But what a great integration of several storylines in this episode. It's so tight, and each storyline not only thematically connects but also moves characters along. *chef's kiss* (season 2 was 2016)
