This movie was huge, it catapulted the series into serious drama where they were just fun kids' movies before. And this was still a great kids' movie, it had that adventuresome feel but with much higher stakes. Obviously all the actors are amazing in this series, but Emma really shined in this one, I think this was my favorite performance from her. Rupert didn't have as much to work with in this film, but "you were over there!" kills me every time. And Daniel really starts to show his range here. Azkaban is a great film to rewatch because you'll pick up on all the foreshadowing building up to the big reveal in the shrieking shack. Great job identifying Lupin right away. :)

Can't wait for the rewatch on this one. When I was a kid, "kids movies" were pretty tame. Really jealous I missed out on this one. At least my parents were cool, I grew up with Indiana Jones, Star Wars and Mad Max lol

A completely random thought came to me. Have you guys seen Netflix's The Sandman series (10+1 bonus episodes, 1 season so far, renewed for Season 2)? It is based on Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels, is fantastic in the very best sense of the world, interesting, oftentimes deep and thought-provoking, while being thoroughly entertaining. And a personal favorite of mine. It has David Thewlis in it (very un-Lupiny role), as well as Gwendoline Christie (being as non-Brienne as physically and spiritually possible), just to name two actors from your current reactions. Along with many-many other incredible talents starring, too. So, if you have not yet watched Sanman privately, I think it would be a splendid addition to your repertoir of reactions.
