Interesting discussion re Megan. It is true the ugliest version of her we see is the last one, definitely a lot of her insecurity about her career and her life in general is showing. I think since that is the final version of her we see, that is how a lot of Mad Men viewers remember her, which is understandable to some degree but not entirely fair IMO. I think being married to Don wore her down and took away a lot of the optimism/sunny personality and left her pretty bitter. Season 5 Megan was super cool, but every good thing seems to be fleeting when it comes to Don Draper. I do think it's interesting that the worst version of both Don's ex-wives is right after the divorce (Season 4 Betty is also a miserable person to be around lol). Think that shows how corrosive and damaging being married to Don can be.

Weird Magic

As someone who likes but not loves Mad Men please forgive if this sounds like a dig...but I don't get the end story to Megan. She knew what she was getting with Don from the start and then can't forgive him when she got it. What was the point of the threesome, just to have that titillation in the show? It didn't seem like there was a relationship between Megan and the other woman either, cuz that was awkward for her the next morning as well. The Glenn storyline was always a weird juxtaposition to me, never seemed to fit Betty's character when Glenn was 11 YO, maybe it does more now I don't know. But other than disagreeing with her current hubby's war stance, it doesn't seem like her marriage is in trouble but now she's got wandering eyes for a kid she knew when he was pre-pubescent? As for the Series ending - I'm really hoping I like it more than I did the first time through. I didn't dislike it, but didn't love it either. I know I'm in the minority here but really hope the J&K experience will assist my enjoyment and understanding through the final legs (as honestly they have done previously in this and other shows) :) Originally airing on April 19, 2015, 'The Forecast' is Episode 10 of Season 7 of Mad Men. It is the 88th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 8.3, placing it as the #10 ranked episode of this season and #41 out of all the episodes shown so far.

I think Megan was trying to get her husband to notice her with the threesome. I feel like she obviously felt distant from him so that was her trying. Even though it was too late. Maybe she knew it was but didn't wanna acknowledge it. Plus the age gap between her and Don. They're from different worlds. The Glenn situation is a complex one. They've always had this weird connection to one another. If she really had a wandering eye for him, I think something would have happened in the kitchen. Idk it gives you a lot to think about.

Don does have a way of poisoning everything around him. He pushes people way and really beats them down. Megans storyline has one hell of an arc but it's not a happy one. While Don struggles to be a better person he has left a broken one behind him.
