Because of the unique (in my experience) way this show treats time, it also does things with characters that other shows don’t get to do. The main arcs we’ve seen (people’s NASA careers, the arcs of the Baldwin and Steven’s families) are progressions that other shows could have done over several seasons — this does it in one and change. In any other show, the fact that I’m appreciating Gordo and disappointed in Tracey would have needed multiple seasons worth of context. This show does an amazing job of giving us enough context in a fraction of the time! When the last scene with the Baldwins really kicked off, I wasn’t expecting it to end well. Kelly was amazing. I hope we see her flying in the future. Also — the fact that I really, really like Karen now is another indicator of the amazing character development in this show. I’m excited to find out who I like by season three!

Bye, Bob. :( Gunpowder should work fine in space, whether it's black powder or smokeless powder. Both contain their own oxidizer. I really love the development with Gordo and Tracy, they managed to flip the script in just a few episodes. All the interactions in this episode in general feel really well-earned even though they're quite extreme, which is hard to pull off.

Completely agree. Karen's arc for me has been the most enjoyable on the show. I really like her strength and resolve, which are things I would not have said earlier in the show.
