I also forgot to mention we see a continuation of Betty grappling with a life's purpose outside of the feminine confines she's lived under up until now. In a previous episode she was talking to her old friend and was confronted with a working woman finding fulfilment outside the home. It made her a little uncomfortable but this episode we get the interesting but kind of pitiful line of telling Henry "I don't know what I'm going to do, but that's a good idea" after he makes a joke about her running for office. So it seems she is indeed thinking about life outside of being a housewife
