I dont know if you caught that small line at the diner: Sally asks Don what it was he said about himself and he responds “nothing you don’t know” - implying that Sally has learned more about her father ever since the visit to Don’s old home.

I love the Don and Sally storyline of this episode. Sally coming to terms with loving her dad despite his flaws. I think maybe she sees him as a person for the first time rather than just a father figure. Don realizing that he doesn't have to hide behind lies to be loved, which has kind of been a central tenet of his character.
