The Bill was a long-running police procedural. The name comes from "The Old Bill", a nickname for the police, along with bobbies, rozzers, busies...and other worse nicknames. Much, much worse.

The title of this episode is another remember that you (neither of you?!) have seen Four Weddings and a Funeral. You should fix that immediately.

Nicola Coughlan (Claire) was also in a special New Year’s edition of the show Taskmaster — which is a show you NEED to check out, even if not for reactions. It is one of the best pieces of media! (Coincidentally, Ardal O’Hanlon — cousin Eammon — was also on Taskmaster.) I love that ever since Claire came out to the group, they all wear rainbow pins in every episode, and they never bring it up. I never even noticed until rewatching with you guys.

Easily one of my favorite episodes. The interaction between Colm and Sister Michael is gold.

Robbie Williams is who sang "Let meeeeeeee entertain you" and "I'm loving angels instead - and through it allllll" also "I just wanna rock, DJ, cause you're keeping me up all night" no? really no? Maybe it was a european thing?!?!!?

Yeah this show has so many nice small details that you only pick up on after multiple watches. Like just in rewatching this episode I noticed that not only did Colm repeat his story about the wind to sister Michael but he also repeated his robbery story from the second episode to the groom.

Worst friend ever? Begbie from Trainspotting has to be a contender.... Tommy: "Begbie's fuckin' psycho, man! But... he's a mate, so what can you do?" Famous bar scene, all the NSFW trigger warnings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUZyNLZZjMs

Here's a sampling for J&K Solo era: Millennium (Robbie channels his inner James Bond): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcWOviMI6Lk Let Me Entertain You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBGEc0atT40 Angels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luwAMFcc2f8 Take That era: Could It Be Magic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVBIfSt0lAo

It was definitely a European thing. Take That and Robbie W were happening at a time when the US was coming down with boybands so there was no appetite for them. I think One Direction are the only Irish/UK boyband to ever break into the US market
