By the way, Lugner called Frieren in the end “Frieren the Slayer”. That’s actually Japanese title of this show. It’s kinda sad that English title is not that badass.

I'm glad you sort of understood Fern's and Stark's reasoning for not fighting at the moment - it's logical to retreat because they don't know Linnie's powers or even if Lugner is really out of commission. And the Graf is hurt pretty badly so they need to prioritize saving him over fighting.

The actual Japanese title of this show is 葬送のフリーレン which means "Frieren seeing off the deceased" (verbatim). In the Russian adaptation, it's "Frieren: seeing off the last journey". I think that the subtitles is just a bit wrong.

One thing you got to remember is Fern and Stark like confidence to fight so they perform themselves with doubt, it's only subtle mention throughout the show but Fern is a genius level mage herself she just got her sense of power scaling from Frieren so she doesn't see herself as powerful
