Tmr is Wednesday 👀 I’m hoping Wesley gets excited and post Attack on Titan early again this week

Movie 1 is like a long episode of Violet Evergarden, the 2nd movie titled "Violet Ever After", concludes Violet's story and wraps up just about everything, so don't worry about being left with major unanswered questions.

kookmineve

(Sorry for the essay, I just love this show a lot haha.) So my personal interpretation of the ending is that Violet's looking at the audience itself. From the beginning, Violet's been the kind of person that unintentionally forces others to reckon with some repressed aspect of themselves (often their grief), which helps them understand themselves a little better. She often manages this because she herself feels and is trying to understand some aspect of what they're feeling, which creates a connection between them. That's part of what makes her such a succesful auto-memory doll. In a way, I think the show itself is very much like an auto-memory doll for the audience itself. It repeatedly presents us with situations we may find relatable in some way (having a wide variety of possible perspectives, in such a way that everyone will relate to at least one episode, be they a parent, a child, a sibling, a lover, etc), and are allowed to grieve with the characters on screen in a way that comes to represent some aspect of our lives. In this way, we may hopefully come to understand our own feelings a little bit better. In my opinion, the fact that the last scene of the show has us looking at Violet through the eyes of her client shows that, at the end of the day, we are the ones Violet is truly helping through her journey. Also I think Claudia was writing to a hypothetical future child, not necessarily an already conceived child, as he wishes to be a father in the future (perhaps because he came to see Violet a little bit like a daughter). I imagine Cattleya was trying to make fun of him for writing something that could be seen as sort of silly, since he's not even close to being a father yet. But ended up feeling touched by the letter as she read it outloud, since it also represents how he views the rest of the dolls (especially Violet, and obviously not Cattleya herself) as he's a sort of paternal/nurturing figure to them and their careers. So it ends up being his honest feelings towards what he wishes for all their futures beyond the war.

I feel Wes on the false memories thing in FMAB, because I SWEAR I remember this show differently. I remember her growing closer to blonde boy and it working toward a relationship with them and half of this I don't remember happening. I'm so confused.

Love all of this!! So insightful! And as you’ll see in the movie we took Claudia much too seriously

Hey guys! I recommend the anime called “Iwatobi swim club” it’s created by the same animation company as Violet Evergarden. Anyway love the reaction to Violet!💜
