you guys should totally listen to Scenery and Promise! They are such good comfort songs!! They were originally released on SoundCloud (where Jimin's song broke the record of being the most streamed song!). Now both songs can be found on Apple Music and Spotify :)

All the vocal line members released many one-off covers and singles on Soundcloud before their solo albums which I'd love for you to react to whenever you both have time. They've worked incredibly hard over the years to improve their skills in producing/songwriting/etc. Thanks for reacting to this docuseries!

The song Jimin was writing was Promise - not any song for FACE :) like others mentioned every member has released original songs and covers on Soundcloud long before their official solo albums came out in 2022/2023. Super Tuna for example is a Soundcloud song haha and my favorite Jin Song, Abyss, too. They also did some christmas songs and covers (e.g. Snow Flower, Christmas Love, Christmas Day,..) on there which you could totally check out in this season :D

The songs they were writing (Jimin & V) aren't for their recent projects. They were just Soundcloud releases so not even official tracks. In fact they were only recently added to Spotify. Jimin has a documentary going through the process of writing the songs on FACE with their in-house staff and V didn't actually write any of the songs on Layover (though they were definitely curated by him and very much expressed his vision for the project). So the songwriting their doing here is independent work for one-off projects. Which I think is really cool because they're really just writing to write because they want to, not because they have a lofty album project in mind.

oh actually promise (jimin’s song) and scenery (taehyung’s song) came out in 2018/2019 but they were soundcloud singles and not part of any albums. Y’all should definitely listen to it soon, both songs are perfect for this time of the year <3

Also, that bit with j-hope telling Jungkook to pace himself is such a great example of Hobi's Performance Leader mode. There's an extended bit of this clip in the tour DVD (or Memories 2018?) where Hobi and Jimin expand on it saying you have to make it look like 120% while giving just about 90% so you can give 150% for real when it really matters (that's the gist anyway) and Jimin says that Hobi is a great example of that. Hobi is the only member who has never had to sit out a performance due to an injury because he's really careful about his physical health which is especially impressive because he's struggled with his stamina since debut. But no one would ever accuse him of slipping on stage--in fact, it's fandom canon that when you see j-hope live, he steals the show. Part of that is because he's mastered this art of using his energy effectively and intelligently. Watching him pass that wisdom onto Jungkook and seeing him get it and use it over the years has been so cool. It's one of my favorite examples of j-hope's leadership and his impact on the team performances.

I think Jin doesn't give himself enough credit overall, but Tae doesn't give himself enough credit on his song writing skills. Both Tae and JK are known for showing half written songs that sound great and deleting them because they didn't think it was good enough. The one Tae showed on IG story (I think that's right) when he was in the car driving. I really liked that song. I was hoping he would release it, but it didn't happen. They are good song writers that don't trust their skills yet. I hope one day they will see that side of their talents.

Wesley talking about fans at the airport....meanwhile Army is trying to tell them not to go because they're (BTS) are getting mob rushed by the obsessed fans, paps, and fansites. Army did a purple ribbon project during this tour, where there was a purple ribbon connecting each Army and keeping all the paps and crazies behind them to keep them getting mob rushed. We really need to reintroduce that project again

yess! but i have to say, the best thing fans can do is just stay home. the project was nice back when it happened and the members even acknowledged it but it's still genuinely such a safety hazard having hundreds if not even thousands of fans swarming the airport along with thousands of regular travelers, kids and elderly. not to even mention we shouldn't even know when and where they're traveling 99% of the time anyway 🥴

I see where you're coming from and I totally agree. Reality though, it's going to happen regardless. So that purple ribbon project was to keep everyone behind the line, and not mob rush. Hybe allows people to see them off and welcome the back in Korea. They'll post those times. Its a thing in kpop apparently, for airport send offs and welcomes. It's why it's always bad in Seoul.

24:54 with official releases there are deadlines and pressure, suga has talked about it a lot, like he knows he needs to get for example the lyrics done so the song can get get mastered etc because the music video shoot is happening soon
