The reason the weird music played at the end was because they extended the episode by a minute so they played the outro during the ending of the fight. I didn't mind it

Mahito mention it but in case you guys didn't remember. Since Yuuji is a vessel and houses 2 souls (Sukuna's and he's), he's always aware of the shape/outline of his soul. Which meant his punches can directly hurt Mahito's Soul/body. Todo on the other hand, like most other people doesn't have a millenium old evil deity living inside his head so he is not aware of the shape of his soul, so he can't deal any real damage to Mahito he can just stall him like Namami (:c). In Kugisaki's case is never stated outloud why she can hurt Mahito, she even says that her abilities working on Mahito was a theory. You can surely attribute it to some wierd Voodoo symbolism with her abilities needing to create a link with the target for them to work.

It's also coz they always skip the outro music, so I don't think they've ever heard it. Like that whole sequence with the outro playing was amazing

It always gets me crying again when Yuji is Remembering the last words Nanami said to him. Yuji is remembering Nanami as pristine and amazing as he always was instead of how he actually was in that final moment. All the VA's for JJK really just went 1000% on their acting as well. And you have to hand it to Gege that he has created so many good characters, that makes losing them really hurt & feel like a personal attack. I thought I was recovering, but seeing & hearing Nanami in this episode when I first watched it broke me all over again.
