I also felt the same way as you guys at the end of this episode, not wanting it to end. It’s one of my healing shows that I rewatch a lot, just like In the Soop and BV. The whole cast is sooo lovely. And I’m beyond proud of Tae. The good news is that after episode 11… because of its high ratings and popularity in both S.Korea and Amazon Prime worldwide they recently released a two part special called Jinny’s kitchen - Team building available on prime worldwide. It came out on the 12th of Nov. So good! They had decorated the site with pics of Tae and the cast in the meantime. I’ve not checked since to see if it’s open or not. Seo Jin is famously known as a bachelor in S.K He had a very high profile romance with his co-star from the drama ‘Lovers’ but they split up in 2007/8ish. Since then he’s been single. He also doesn’t have any children but as part of another programme with Na PD he ran a daycare in the forest with other celebrities… he was very good with kids. I don’t know if anyone mentioned this before but the reason Tae was so concerned about wether he would get to go back home and get his flight that night was because he was leaving earlier than everyone else to be back in time for Jin’s military service entrance ceremony. He travelled 27+ hours straight to be there in time. Going from warm Mexican weather to freezing winter in Korea. I meant to mention it a few eps ago but they shot this in Dec last year in Mexico. In the episode you thought it was shot in Nov… the travelling lady’s were actually saying they had been in Mexico a month and they had arrived in Nov. Also we know the dates from the World Cup games and the sightings of Tae in Mexico etc. Funfact, you are indeed correct about the music being different on the different Primes worldwide and on the original Korean broadcast on tvn… wether each countries editor was different or it was because of copyright in each country who knows lol… For example in one scene of Tae cooking chicken it hilariously plays Madonna’s ‘Like a Virgin’. They also had a lot more BTS songs in the Korean version. During Tae’s dancing at the end they played Run BTS in the Korean version. (Side note I also really agree with Steph I.e Tae’s dancing.) Really looking forward to re-watching ep 11 and the specials etc with you. 💜

Hehe... Yeah, when you were talking about dinner time you are right. I'm from Barcelona and people here tend to eat between 22h-23h mostly if they had work or if they are adults. I tend to have dinner very early for my country's time (20-21) but here that is not the norm at all so I think that they may have had more costumers at late hours due to that. It’s been so fun watching Jinny’s Kitchen with you guys!! Sad it’s almost over (but there’s still other content!!). I love Jinny's kitchen! So fun watching with you guys! :) The couple with the spicy ramyeon was from Sweden btw! I could understand since I'm Norwegian + yes it's true what Steph said, we eat dinner quite early compared to other countries.

Oh god, I'm so happy someone else feels the same way as I do. v is equally a great dancer as the other members in the dance line. He surely is underrated. I wish we see more of his solo dance sequences post 2025.

I don't know if someone mentioned this already but double deep frying chicken is the frying technique that separates Korean fried chicken from the rest. Korean's preparation of chicken is vastly different from the rest of the world too. To soften the meat, they marinate it with either soju or milk (Here, they use milk) and some shops use both. Each major chicken shop restaurant have their own frying techniques namely how many minutes and on what temperature they first fry the chicken; how many seconds or minutes they let it rest; and then how many minutes and temperature they second fry it. Double frying makes the skin crispy for a long period of time even if it's drenched with sauce for hours.
