Oh man this is bringing back memories when I watched it. It was such a great anime which I made a lot of connections as a ex-athlete. Exited to the rest of the episodes and a new movie coming out next year

One show you might consider reacting to is The Irregular at Magic Highschool. It has some great world building, combining Magic and modern technology. It has some slightly controversial elements, but overall it's quite good. The main character's name is Tatsuya, although some fans refer to him as "Godsuya" for obvious reasons if you watch the show.
