After the Red Wyrm fight you asked why Rudy isn't out searching for Zenith right now. Rudy is searching and has been for 2 years. Sol wanted to recruit him into his party, which would stop him from continuing the search, which is why he turned him down. With the information Rudy has, Zenith could literally be anywhere on the planet. But they've at least checked Asura, Millis and the demon continent which is why he's gone to search the north of the central continent. The odds of Rudy searching and finding Zenith by going from town to town is miniscule. This is why he's been trying to build the legend of "Quagmire Rudeus" in the hopes that Zenith will recognise that he's Rudy and then come and find him. "Quagmire Rudeus" is a lot more conspicuous than Zenith is, so finding Rudy will be a lot easier, as is shown by Elinalise finding him so quickly. As for why Rudy doesn't immediately set off for Begaritt as soon as he learns where Zenith is. It's about to be winter and so travel is difficult and dangerous, especially in the northern regions. Not to mention that you can't just set off on a journey that will take over a year with no preparation. Also, even though Elinalise seems to be persuading Rudy not to go because she doesn't want to see Paul. It seems to me that there are valid reasons for not going to Begaritt. Paul, Talhand and Roxy are all already on the way to Begaritt and will get to Zenith ahead of him along with Geese who was already on Begaritt at the end of last season. That's 3 S rank adventurers and a king class water mage who is also an A rank adventurer already heading to where she is, possibly with other members of the search and rescue squad too. Rudy could spend over a year travelling to Begaritt and find that they've already found Zenith and have headed back to Asura meaning that he could waste 2 years of his life making a dangerous journey for no reason. Begaritt is the 2nd most dangerous continent after the Demon continent, Rudy doesn't have Eris and Ruijerd anymore and he knows nothing about the monsters on the Begaritt continent. He could very easily die on the journey. Not to mention that Rudy is probably in no real state to make the trip anyway. He's been getting slightly better but he's still badly depressed to the point where he's already tried to commit suicide about 4 times in the past 2 years that we've seen.

Based off my mmo, an ideal party would be 4 for normal low level stuff and 8 for big scale stuff. 1 Tank, 1 Healer, and 2 DPS (preferably one ranged and one melee) or 2 Tanks, 2 Healers, 4 DPS. Also I'm no longer bothered by the Holy-Panties. At this point I think it's a funny plot device to show Rudy's growth in character. Hear me out, as someone who suffers severe anxiety, I hold attachment to things that remind me of people or places or times that can ground me and keep me happy. So what was initially a pervy attachment, I think Rudy genuinely cherishes and relies on that part of his past. It reminds him of a time when he had control and was surrounded by loved ones and Roxy, who inspired him to become a real human being again. It's even in the way he refers to them, calling them his "holy relic" or similar. He never just calls them panties, so to him, they are a legitimate safety blanket which in a way, is wholesome. But I think it's the authors cheeky way of showing us Rudy's growth from a pervy brat who's self absorbed, to someone who experienced a lot of trauma and is slowly learning to adjust and grow into a responsible young man. He's even all-but given up his pervishness entirely even before the E.D. he really liked Sera and wanted to be with her much like with Eris. There was no pervy intent in those situations which is why they hurt him especially bad. So that's why I'm no longer bothered by the majestic lady loincloth of compassion. 😂 it's quirky, genius writing. As for Zenith, if it's true she started exploring dungeons and caves, I think she either believes everyone died, or that she knows they're safe so she is studying the teleportation phenomenon and that's why man-God told Rudy to study it too. There is also a tiny theory in my head that maybe Paul pushed her too far so now that she's got an excuse to be free, she is choosing to be independent. I know it doesn't seem to be in her character, but so far the show focuses heavily on making characters betray our expectations of them and tend to do things drastically outside of their character. Oh and less important, but the reason I believe sex-addict elf is sticking around is because Rudy said it was too dangerous to travel in winter, so I believe she was waiting until the winter storms passed, but then decided to escort Rudy so she stuck around for that

This is a great explanation! I agree. Some of that Rudy even explained himself but I don't think Wes and Steph caught or remembered some of them. I don't blame Wes for not trusting sex-addict-mcgee though since she doesn't exactly come off as trustworthy, and some of the anime they watch have a lot of betrayals lol

All well stated clarifications, only thing I have to add that is based on what we’ve been told in Season 1, everyone in Paul’s party hates him and they are only searching for the family because of their love for Zenith. Also, there’s various specific reasons for their individual hate for Paul, but what we do know was told to us by Ghislain which is the party broke up because Paul and Zenith retired once they got married. There is a lot to infer with what we have been told which is that Zenith is of the Millis faith, they believe in monogamy and typically no sex before marriage. Connect the dots from there.

From S1, Roxy found out where Zenith was from Kishirika fuzzily seeing the general area, not from them having directly made contact to know her specific circumstances/reasons yet. Like she said, Roxy and Paul are still actively on their way, and she split off to give Rudy the update. So it'd def be out of the bit of her character we've seen for Zenith not to try to get back to her kids, but it's still probably fair to give Elinalise more benefit of the doubt that she just isn't even considering her maybe being trapped and is assuming/hoping instead that, with Zenith's adventuring background, as long it's confirmed she's alive somewhere then she should be able to be taking care of herself.

Wesley are we watching the same show? Elinalise not an antagonisy

Rudy attaches emotion to objects. The panties tie him to roxy, who he worships, but also walking into the world. Never see someone hug their childhood blanket during a panic attack? Sure, it has pervy roots, but if its that important to him, who cares...

Regarding Zenith, remember that Kishirika looked her up 3 years after the Incident, and all they know is she's underground in the Labyrinth at that moment. So what is more likely: that she's been trapped in that labyrinth for 3 years and yet somehow survived among monsters and without food, or that she was simply labyrinth-diving at that very moment as an S-rank adventurer? In other words, as far as they know, she's alive, she's not crippled (as that would prevent her from labyrinth-diving) and she has a party (because healers don't go adventuring solo). For an S-rank adventurer, that's as safe as it gets. As for why she's still there and hasn't returned yet... That's actually the easiest thing to explain but not without spoilers. Let's just say that for a single woman to travel Begaritt deserts safely is quite expensive for, well, reasons.

But we as the viewers at this point already know that she is trustworthy cause we saw her, Roxy and the dwarf search for Pauls family for years.
