Hey, guys if you're interested to learn more about Korea you should react to Korean Englishman videos, especially their series "Juno, the British 2-year-old goes to KOREA" for inspiration as to where to go if you guys one day want to bring your kids to Korea.. Their series "British School Trip to Korea!" is another fun one to watch if you're interested.

Do you guys not eat fermented pickles? I get them from our Italian market as its hard to come by good ones. Also if you want good gut health, don't drink anything carbonated while eating.

Archery is the national sport in S.Korea, so they'll cheer for their team. It's like us in Canada, we will absolutely watch Hockey and our summer sport, lacrosse. I have a hard time watching the summer Olympics, I'm only interested in Rugby. Winter though, you'll see daredevils go down slopes of snow and ice, and glide on frozen water with blades attached to their feet, apparently I prefer the people defying death in the winter one 😂

....ok I wasn't going to comment on the skin care, but I'm suckered in now. Proactive sucked with me too, it burned and felt like it was taking my skin off. The most important thing I've learnt with skin care is sun screen. The sun will do the most damage to your face. And you do want a good sun screen (reviews help, but check out some dermatologists pages and plastic surgeons pages on insta. They have some good suggestions on products even in the drug store) Vitamin C is essential as well. A good moisturizer as you don't want your skin dry. My skin, I needs oils as it absorbs better than lotion but each type of skin is different. And for bedtime is retina A serum. Or a derivative of it. Those masks are great, my skin will be so much better when using them. Medi heal masks are very nice. I wouldn't go for the super cheap masks as they likely do have a lot of chemicals, but there are some really good ones. Clay masks will help with impurities of the skin. Cloth masks help with moisturizing and brightening.

I am pretty sure South-Korea has won the most gold metals (27) and metals in general (43) in Olympic history. Also An San won three gold metals in the Tokyo Olympic's (she was born in 2002 and started compeating only in 2019).

I just looked it up. In Olympic history for most gold medals, it's US, then UK, Germany then France in the top 4. For individual it is Michael Phelps in swimming.

exactly. My skin has never been better since I started using sun screen EVERY DAY. Doesn't matter fs it's cloudy and I'm staying inside the whole day. Sun screen is a must.

the song jungkook and yoongi were producing pretty sure was called "Stay Alive", it was an OST for BTS's webtoon called Chakho(webtoons are digital comics very popular in Korea).

I'm commenting a lot today LOL. JK recently said that he doesn't care much about fashion :P He even threw out a lot of his colored clothes recently and said he just wants to wear black because that's what he likes. This is when he's not doing something on his official schedule of course.

oh yeah 100% about smaller/less performing countries. whenever India is in the finals or semi finals for anything, it’s on the front page and the whole country tunes in to watch. it’s a very different experience when your country doesn’t win as much

I'm the same. My body can't sweat so I get all rashy instead and overheat in minutes. Means less laundry but also means I could die of heatstroke from 10 min. In 99 degree weather lol

Bibim ramen is without the soup. Bibimbap, what Jin made, is typically veggies, egg, and rice (bap pronounced bahp =rice), with gochujang or spicy red pepper paste. I think they were working on Stay Alive (JK with Suga producing) or Run BTS OT7 song, one of the 3 new songs released in 2022 in Proof album. You can see the chronological timeline of BTS's hit songs in Proof CD 1!

time to geek out about skincare stuff!! okay this is my personal opinion but I actually tend to stay away from US (not all) brands, maybe they don't work for me but I always find harsh chemicals in them also has a LOT of fragrance for some reason so I just stick to Korean/Asian brands, not saying they are 100% fragrance-free or the best just realized they are calmer than western brands and more accessible for me :)

Chapter 2 has been crazy. I wouldn’t have believed this Tae was going to do a cooking show and sell food he makes. I hope they do another cooking run BTS so he can show off. The show is Jinny’s kitchen. I’m sure someone must’ve mentioned it to you. I feel so proud.

the subtitles call JK "BTS Archery Prodigy" because he was so good at it when they still went to ISAC (a yearly event, like idol olympics). They competed at relay archery, 4 × 100 m relay, ssireum (a kind of wrestling), high jump, and I think Yoongi once played basketball. You guys were asking about skincare and if you want something inexpensive I would suggest the brand CeraV. If you want to try more expensive brands you can get trial sizes to see how you like them such as the brand Tacha which is also really good but more pricey.

On your next grocery shopping trip, I highly recommend going to H-mart! It’s a huge Korean grocery store chain and they have locations everywhere, so if there’s one near you, you guys should check it out! They usually have all the common kimchi varieties (especially green onion), and even gluten-free brands now too!

I got scammed by proactive too lol. It really did irritate my skin so much and bleached all my pillow cases. I had so many problems with my skin and bad acne later and am finally finding something that helps by working with my dermatologist. I really think that ruined my skin because I was using it just because...I didn't even have bad skin at the time

Maye when you watch something you should just do a little google search just to get an idea of the release time when something happened, just so you get the context of what was out at the time and when things were happening, it really helps to know where about they were in their career. The editing for this season of Soop was all over the place, so many things were cut out or put in weird orders, like Jimin and Jungkook do the most things together, but so much was either edited out or cut weirdly and only put into the behind the scenes

Fermented sharp carrots are very popular in Ukraine. We call it "Korean carrot" because it was originally invented by Korean emigrants in Kazakhstan in the 1930s, because they could not find analogues of their vegetables for fermentation. Since then, this dish has spread to us and it is very tasty and very popular here. Maybe you'll like it too.
