1. Titans and morality topic: I'm a fanatic for stories that bring in ethics because these teach us how to be better, kinder people and that's something AoT does beautifully and why Hange is my 2nd favorite character. Humans are unfortunately binary thinkers most of the time, seeing the world in black and white when I personally believe that to be a more fulfilled and well-rounded person, we need to practice being spectrum thinkers. Hating or fearing something and being empathetic/sympathetic or forgiving aren't mutually exclusive and I think need to learn to be practiced in times that we really don't want to. Hange loathes Titans, but she decided to face them with kindness so that she doesn't become a monster. She understands that they are not malicious, they act on instinct for survival and she sees them for the pitiful creatures that they are. I suggest practicing being devils advocate to yourself as much as you can, because it honestly does make things easier when faced with real horrible situations. It doesn't excuse anything said or done, but it makes the problems less daunting, teaches you patience and can make you feel stronger, helps you see the larger picture that something might just be a symptom of the bigger issue, help you see when something is just an illness and help look for solutions to help people and sometimes it can save people. All in all, a very underrated area of study and one desperately needed these days. None of this to day that people who can't do this yet are bad people. It's really hard and takes a lot of time and understanding. I just mean that it is something we should all put into practice. Even if you start small and work your way up. I like to do it with extremes to stretch my mind to the limit, but it could be as simple as forgiving an asshole at the grocery store. "They are probably unhappy and had a hard day." Doesn't excuse what they did, but it can make you feel better than being pissed all day that someone was rude to you 😅 2. "Do people in the west wear masks when they clean?" Me and a few others I know do for things like allergies, Asthma and I think it's called CPD? Some kind of obstruction in the airway.
