I mean tbh a life where you can't move put into a situation anyone probably would have wanted a chance to move, also gotta consider that Muzan manipulates his own demons so if he didn't obey he would have died along with his parents by Muzan, also agreed on the selfish thing but you can also make that argument with Tanjiro keeping Nezuko alive knowing there is still of possbility of her killing humans.

Once they become a demon, they don't have control over their desires, they are inherently selfish and can't control that and they don't choose to eat humans. One of the main reason's why nezuko is so special!

dang u guys kinda cold to these demon, yes they kill people but they also once a human especially if the upper or lower moon which is under direction of muzan the mind, body and soul control is so overpower that they losing themselves at the end more over lowly demon they just losing themselves instantly when they turn cant see what's good or bad moreover whos family whos enemy. because muzan know how to target his new army "weak heart/ weak mind" of person is the most easy to control unlike nezuko she have a strong mental, and value of life that it slips from muzan control~~~

You guys keep mixing up the two into one person. You lose your humanity after becoming a Demon. Demons do not get stuck at an age, only in appearance. Physically they stop aging.
