I was on the edge with demon slayer just being "Good" but this episode was amazing overall, just the way everything was set up etc..

the wives are priests daughters, so they are willing to do anything for their God to destroy evil. So the wives obviously have a strong devotion to destroying muzan as well.

Apparently the spikes that trapped Muzan and let tamayo inject the poison into him is the blood demon art of the guy that got turned into a demon by muzan in public as a distraction, all the way back in season 1 when tanjiro confronted him after smelling his scent, tamayo turned the guy back into a human but not fully, allowing him to survive off a few drops of human blood that he could just get at blood banks
