Check your Patreon Inbox! Important Info On The Well + Technical Stuff (Patreon)
Content
Hey everybody!
I made a mistake and assumed that Patreon would notify you via email when I contacted you. I was wrong lol. However, I sent every currently active patron a key via Patreon’s messaging system, so if you go to your inbox on patreon you should find a key waiting for you.
If you do NOT find a key waiting for you, sometimes at the beginning of each month Patreon has somewhat inaccurate data on who is still a patron/who canceled so please let me know but please check your inbox first.
I’m still seeing the google form fill up so thats good, whoever hasn’t it done it yet here’s the link and hopefully I’ll have the full roster of patrons to put into the next update.

speaking of the next update, because of seem feedback I got on mechanics I’m going to put in more explicit tutorial stuff and also try to surface some of the stuff about configuring the video display settings. But here is a spoiler-free cheat sheet:
At anytime during the game you can hit F3 to disable the shader effects (the visual glitching and chromatic aberration)
At anytime during the game you can hit F4 to upscale the video to 960x540 instead of 480x270.
When you get to the ending (and are pulling the rope towards the RIGHT side of the screen instead of the LEFT) tap Z as fast as you can, basically button-mash, until more dialogue triggers.

Also both the x86-64 version of the game and the ARM-64 version of the game are now available for Mac users. I just wrote this little guide im going to put up on the itch.io page but I’ll repost it here:
FOR MAC USERS:
1. In my Mac uploads I provide one build that is x86 compatible and one build that is for the later M1 processor macs. I usually preface the x86 build like "x86-Mac-[Name Of Game]" and the other build "M1-Mac-[Name Of Game]". If you have an ARM-based Mac that uses the M1 chip you can technically use both builds but if you have an x86 machine you will not be able to use the M1 build.
2. On my M1 mac I have only gotten my downloaded builds to open by downloading them through the itch.io app. When I download a build directly from itch.ioon an internet browser the build will not open because of software signing issues. I do not know a workaround for this.
An Ubuntu version is coming soon! Just gotta re-figure out how to make the build from a virtual machine, I havent done it in a bit.
The next couple days I am going to be working on The Well and just making sure everyone is able to access it but then I’ll be back onto Ruins Of The Human Temple.
I’m also probably going to make a post discussing my plans for the Yames’ Secret Games series. I already have an idea for #2 that is exciting me lol, but I don’t know what the exact time frame I would want to work on them would be. Although I did manage to get The Well done in about a week and a half, I had to devote all my time to it and it was kind of stressful meeting the end-of-the-month deadline. But maybe every 90 days? Bi-monthly? We’ll see. Anyway, I hope everyone gets to play The Well soon and I hope you all enjoy it :D
