Cast Your Vote For The Next Patron-Only Game ! (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone, so as I'm getting my final ducks in a row for Family Vacation I wanted to make a poll for the next patreon game. I've chosen three games from the previous lists of ideas/prototypes, so I'll post some descriptions and screencaps from them to let you all decide on what you'd like to see. Since I'll also be working on Discover Our Bodies when Family Vacation is done, these games will be smaller in scope than Family Vacation, and be more concentrated experiences sort of like Water Womb World.
If you have any questions about any of the premises, please feel free to ask, also, please take the time to vote! You are a patron! Utilize your patronage!
I'll be keeping the poll open until the 28th.
1. Star Sign Suicide Pact
Star Sign Suicide Pact (title also might change to Start Sign Decreation Pact because including the word suicide might be a little too edgy): The premise of this game is that the protagonist’s job is to lead a group of old men who have been chosen by forces unknown out into a sacred forest and into different caves where they will crawl into their human bodies’ final resting place. In the universe of this world, it is the protagonist’s expertise and they are a combination of ranger/shaman/mortician. Its not the first time they’ve done this, and while their job is dangerous (there are all sorts of weird things in the sacred forest) it is an important part of the society they live in. I think it will be a 2d sidescroller, or else have similar pseudo first person movement mechanics as water womb world.
2. Flavius (title will probably change):
This game is sort of more like a visual novel although there will be some mechanics/puzzles and probably more interactivity than most visual novels, however there is an emphasis on reading/talking/story. The synopsis of this game is that the protagonist, a young woman, lives in a world ruled by an all-powerful being with strange predilections. She lives with her family in a town disconnected from all other places by weird means. All of the people in the town praise and worship the being sincerely, as it provides for them in all ways and its weird and usually destructive habits are entirely normal to them, usually.
3 Quern Valley
This game is about an ambitious student who gets tangled up with a deadly and unnatural tradition after getting a tip from a mysterious source. It will be a 2d sidescroller with some lite ethnoarchaeology mechanics.
