Hello there!

Today, we want to share how the combat system for Raven’s Quest will work. It will be pretty simple; we don’t want the game to be tedious in that regard.

Raven has the power to control the four elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire. And maybe even more...

In Raven’s Quest, attack and defense work at the same time.

Attack:

- When attacking, Raven will deal damage equal to the power of the type of the attack. In the case of the picture, if Raven attacks with Thunder Shock (air damage), she will deal 1 point of damage to the orc bandit, if she, instead, attacks with an Earth Spike (Earth damage), she will deal 0.4 points of damage. However, monsters can have weaknesses. Orc bandits, for example, are weak to the Air element.

Defense:

- Monsters will attack Raven with one type of element. For example, orc bandits attacks deal 0.3 points of earth damage. If Raven's Earth element power lowers, his earth attacks will also deal less damage. If an element power reaches zero, Raven will lose the combat.

Each monster has different situations for losing or winning. You can even try to talk to them and choose a non-violent path.

This is the last post before announcing the release date. We can tell already that it will be in around two weeks, but we will wait a bit until we're sure the game is totally ready for the first alpha release! (As you see, Chica wanted to change our protagonist a bit)

Thanks for the patience, guys. See you really soon!

Weak to air? Man breathing must be a pain in the ass. Life's a bitch.

Are you planning on adding game over exclusive scenes? Because I'm not a fan of deliberately losing a game to unlock everything. :/

There will probably be specific scenes to see where Raven is defeated, but that doesn't mean that we will prompt a "Game Over" and return the player to the main menu. I don't think this is a good mechanic for erotic games. At least not the ones we want to make. Defeats against common monsters won't result in a game over at all, just a change on Raven's stats. Although, you may encounter situations where a game over scene is played, but Raven will "wake up" in her house or on a safe spot again. The game won't be linear anyway, so different scenes will play depending on the choices the player make, including being defeated.

Love the art, by the way. She looks almost too cute to be in a +18 game. :D
