Charge Upfront Enabled (Patreon)

TL;DR: Charge Upfront is now enabled, nothing changes for you if you're already subscribed, don't sweat it.

If you've been to the patron's Discord server, you probably already saw me joke about how there's always people who leave at the last day of the month before their charge is processed.

To be honest, I didn't mind it that much. I was fine with people just coming in, taking a peek, maybe deciding it was not for them and cancelling their pledge. I mean, obviously I would prefer if I got to keep the dosh, but whatever.

This month was kinda weird, though. I had almost double the cancelled pledges right at the end of the month from a bunch of people who were pledged for weeks, voted in polls (you can download a spreadsheet with everyone's usernames and votes, I checked) and such, and that made me rethink CUF.

I'm trying my hardest to not sound entitled here but there are years of content archived in this account, over a hundred captions on top of previews and polls. I think it's ok to charge $2 for it? My line of thinking was "Hey, it's just $2, I won't miss it" but it's now leaning more towards "Hey, it's just $2, why shouldn't I get paid?".

I dunno, maybe I'm having a day where my self-esteem is sky high and thinking my content is worth something or maybe all the coffee I've been drinking has finally damaged my brain cells, but that's the gist of it, CUF enabled.
