She couldn’t tell where she was. Whoever knocked her out moved her away from where the attack happened. She found herself in a shallow cave, kneeling at the far end of one of its walls. The sound of water came from outside. This was probably a good place for an outpost.
She tried to move, only to find both her wrists tied to a wooden stake above her. All her belongings were piled up near the opposite wall: guns, map, ammo, even her jacket and hat. They had the decency of leaving her boots, shirt and shorts on, but that was about it.
Sticky sweat glistened on her body. It was probably late in the afternoon already. Ashe had lots of enemies, but who would follow her here? She couldn’t remember anyone that bitter, or at least not anyone who would leave her alive for negotiations, as this was obviously the case.
Ashe’s deliberation was cut short as the light inside the cave suddenly dimmed. A silhouette was visible, a body big enough to seal the entrance from sunlight. Her eyes strained to identify the blur, but it just wasn’t possible until it walked forward, letting the light in again. Ashe couldn’t believe it.

This is a snippet of a commission I'm writing about things going wrong in a safari with Ashe. I haven't done longform writing in a while, it has a been a good break from the usual.

Also, long time no see. After I fixed my PC, life decided I needed one more break from writing and decided to send relatives to my doorstep for a two-week visit. As you can imagine, it's pretty awkward to work on NSFW stuff with people around the house all the time.

I'm catching up on Patreon content and the sale pieces (some of you already received previews for review, too) and, if nothing disastrous happens, Patreon resumes next month. (and yet every time I say this, something happens, but let's see how this goes)

Thank you all for your patience and support!
