The Music Man- Absolutely fabulous! Thank you very much for watching this wonderful and exciting classic musical I love so much, Sora!! I am so happy that you truly enjoyed watching this movie, and I am happy to see how much fun you had with it! And I most certainly appreciate your insights regarding Harold, or Greg, having a dream to be a band composer, and him making his dream come true in the end. As well as regarding Marian's love for him and why she comes to believe in him so much, even though she's known all along that he was a fraud. Robert Preston and Shirley Jones are phenomenal throughout this movie!! Especially Robert Preston as the Music Man himself... Professor Harold Hill, or rather Gregory... as Buddy Hackett's character, Marcellous calls him. Revealing that his real name is not Harold Hill. I completely fall for Harold's con myself, every time I watch this movie, because Robert Preston is so charismatic and charming all throughout this movie. And Shirley Jones as Marian is so beautiful, and her singing voice is sensational!! Robert Preston is fantastic in his music numbers too!! I love them!! I absolutely love all the rest of the cast throughout this movie as well! From Little Ronny Howard as Marian's adorable little brother, Winthrop, and their mother, Mrs. Paroo, to Marcellous Washburn played by Buddy Hackett, Mayor Shin and his wife, Eulalie, Tommy and Zaneeta, as well as the Buffalo Bills and Mrs. Shin's ladies! I absolutely love seeing Ron Howard at such as young age, back when he was known as Little Ronny Howard. He was so adorable, and now he has grown into a brilliant man, a great young actor in classic shows like The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days. and one of my all time favorite movie directors today. The phenomenal director of movies such as Apollo 13, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey, Willow, Solo: A Star Wars Story, etc... If there's anyone you would recognize from this movie, it's Ron Howard, if just by his name only. The Mayor and his wife are fantastic throughout this movie as well! And I love listening to the amazing musical talents of the very real classic acapella group... The Buffalo Bills. This musical's overall story is absolutely brilliant! I love that Harold Hill is a con man, who comes to learn the error of his ways upon not only falling in love, but through the inspiration and life he unknowingly brings to the people of River City, Iowa. And he comes to love Marian, Winthrop, Mrs. Paroo, and everyone throughout this town. It's a beautiful story all in all! As for my favorite songs and dance numbers from this musical... It's tough, because I absolutely love them all so much! But if I really think about it, I would probably say that a few of my favorites are Seventy-Six Trombones, Marian the Librarian, and Ya Got Trouble... All sung by Robert Preston, and Til There Was You sung by Shirley Jones. Plus... I just love every time that the Buffalo Bills sing their songs too. Regarding you recognizing the song... Seventy-Six Trombones... Chances are you've heard it in other movies, shows, or even TV commercials over the years. That's one thing I absolutely love about the classic musicals such as The Music Man... The music in these musicals are timeless, and have been played and used in other movies, shows, and commercials, even in those today. And the costumes from the time era of 1912, are all beautiful and elegant! I love them all! I especially love Robert Preston in his Music Man costumes, both during the Seventy-Six Trombones number at the school and the even fancier gold, red, and white one in the very end! And Shirley Jones' orange gown she wears before the Ice Cream Sociable, as well as her pink gown at the Sociable are gorgeous too! Overall... This musical is absolutely fabulous! I love everything about it. And I had so much fun watching it again with you, Sora! Your reaction was fantastic and so much fun to watch! Thank you so much again for watching The Music Man for me, dear friend! I hope to request many more musicals for you to enjoy in the future! I love them too! :) Thank you, my dear friend! Sincerely, Heidi
