Season 5 starts knocking it out of the park with these eps. These last two (meant as a two-parter with the Fred/parents bookending them) rank amongst those I consider perfect episodes in the Buffyverse

Out of ALL the characters, Wesley probably had the wildest ride and definitely the greatest change. They ALL went through changes, but who would have thought the goofy, cringey, comedy relief character would turn into the most ruthless? And many of his antics did make me laugh back in the day. But when he had his throat cut back then, I never imagined he would survive to become one my top favorite. He's right up there at least. Think back on Cordelia. Think back on Spike. Think back on Faith, on Willow, on Gunn. They all had their own journey. We are not done yet.
