Wow... Remember when I said I liked Angel better because it was darker? well, Buffy came back to its rightful place. What a season, absolutely loved it. I think its my favorite so far. And to season 7 we go... not before I take a little break. Sorry about that, but my nerves need it x'D and also... I really dont wanna finish the show lol I get nauseated just by thinking about ending it ToT  I'm gonna slow down the pre recordings unless its a few Angel episodes in a row. Also if Buffy is getting a break that means that Angel is also getting a break so, yeah. Wont be long. Anyways thank you for reading and for watching this season with me! Hope to see you in the next!

Ok, so to clear up this storyline with Spike: Spike WAS ALWAYS INTENDING TO GET HIS SOUL BACK. The writers have confirmed this over and over again. They wanted Spike getting his soul to be a total surprise/cliff hanger for the season, so they tried to lead people off the scent by making it seem like he wanted the chip out. They didn’t even tell James until the finale, so in the prior eps, James isn’t playing his scenes (aka “give Buffy what she deserves”) with as much nuance/ambiguity as he probably should have. Some people stubbornly hold onto the red herring/mislead the writers wrote, and believe Spike wanted the chip out and that the demon tricked him at the end, DESPITE the writers correcting this with fans over and over. The mislead was just executed poorly. They should have informed James so he could play his scenes appropriately. The chip makes no difference over hurting/killing Buffy anymore, so it makes no sense that he would need it out to “give Buffy what she deserves.” People don’t think of that. They’ve established all through recent seasons, and most recently in Seeing Red at Spike’s crypt after the assault, that Spike is going through a major existential crisis. His feelings for Buffy are a huge part of that, and he’s been struggling with himself non-stop throughout this season. What happens with Buffy is the final tipping point that spirals him (“what have I done? why didn’t I do it? why do I feel this way?”), and he finally decides who/what he wants to be. Then sets out to get his soul back. His final reading of the line “Make me who I was, so Buffy can get what she deserves”, conveys what his intentions have been all along.

The mind control did work on Anya, Anya was just lying (badly) when she said it wouldnt work on vengeance demons...immediately after, Willow told her to help her out and Anya said "okay" showing that it was indeed a lie
