Yay! I'm so glad you are watching Lucifer its so good and yeah its impossible not to love him. As to you being asexual and wishing for better representation, I can definitely understand that. I am a pansexual demisexual woman married to a pansexual gender fluid person. I have to remind people a lot that I'm not straight. Regardless of how my marriage looks to the outside world. I love that he (he is gender fluid but prefers he/him pronouns) and I talk about all sexes and orientations equally. I wish and wait for better representation all the way around.

I'm actually panromantic too! haha I dont talk a lot about being panromantic or my gender expresion cause I know most people dont understand/refuse to understand. The few people in my life I have told I'm asexual still make fun of me because "the asexual that has sex", its so much more than that... and I think its too annoying to try to explain to people who dont WANT to understand, let alone gender which is an even more complex topic. I do love talking about it with people who know and understand so I can get educated too. All I know is what I've seen online that make absolutely all the sense to me and feel like I fit in a goup. I know labels shouldnt be important and I shouldnt care about fitting but my whoooole life I felt like I didnt belong anywhere and did what I had been told was the right thing, pretended to be alosexual and straight and was miserable. Mom always forced me to dress girly and all I wanted was a pair of pants and sneakers to play with the boys lol it feels nice to fit in a box for a change, thats just my experience. Made me really happy to read your comment, thank you <3

Pilot- Thank you very much for your reaction for this Pilot episode of Lucifer! I've only recently come into this show myself early on last year when I saw it on Netflix, and thought I would give it a shot. And I have to say that I was shocked by how quickly I became so drawn into this show and its characters, especially into Lucifer himself. So much so, that I wound up binge watching all four seasons, and even more recently season five now that it's dropped as well, within only a few days. I have immediately fallen in love with Tom Ellis as Lucifer, as well as with this show, so I am really excited that you are happy to watch it through reactions for us as well. This show is absolutely all about its characters, while the cases are more in the background. And this show is phenomenal for structuring it this way. These characters are all sensational! :) Now... Lucifer is played by Welsh actor, Tom Ellis and he's absolutely phenomenal in this role! Not to mention hot! :) I absolutely love just how charismatic and charming he is, as well as bluntly honest to a fault and naïve about human emotions. In some ways, he's much like a child in how he acts towards the humans because he struggles to understand them. And I believe this is partly the reason why one of his superpowers, or "gift from God" as he calls it, is the ability to draw out people's forbidden desires when he draws people in to look into his eyes. In doing so, it allows for Lucifer to learn what they truly want, whether they want their secret revealed or not. I love how incredibly open he is with everyone because he believes in complete honesty. And I especially love how open he is with Chloe about who he really is, and how he is never surprised or angry when no one ever believes him about being the Devil. It's hilarious. I love that he holds nothing back. After the tragic death of someone he cares about, Lucifer comes to meet Detective Chloe Decker, played by actress Lauren German, who I also really love in this show as well. And much to Lucifer's surprise, Chloe is completely immune to his charms and he's absolutely fascinated by her, which I love. Because this new partnership established within this first episode is absolutely brilliant. I love that Chloe is ice to Lucifer's fire. A perfect way to explain their partnership. Also... I really love their banter back and forth. They just have fantastic chemistry with one another. As for the rest of the established characters... I really love Chloe's daughter Trixie, and the dynamic established between her and Lucifer as well. She's sweet, funny, and just adorable. And I love how uncomfortable she makes Lucifer in the moment she hugs him in the end, since Lucifer is very uncomfortable around children. I suspect it's mostly because he's not used to being around them, since children never wind up in Hell after they die. And while Lucifer claims to hate children, he still helps Trixie at school when he deals with her bully for her. I love it! In regards to Trixie not looking like either of her parents in this show... when this show first started filming, Dan... Chloe's ex, was originally played by another actor, Nicholas Gonzalez, until he wound up getting replaced for unknown reasons by Kevin Alejandro, who plays Dan all throughout the show. Scarlett Estevez who plays Trixie, looks a lot like the original actor, which is why she was initially cast to play Chloe's and Dan's daughter. But when they recast Dan and brought aboard Kevin Alejandro to play Dan instead, either it was too late to recast the actress chosen to play the daughter too, or they came to love this adorable little actress as Trixie so much... they chose not to recast her as well. And while she might not look like either of her parents in the show, she is absolutely adorable and no one lets this little nitpick bother them. We all absolutely love Trixie. :) Next... Amenadiel is an angel, and one of Lucifer's brothers. And needless to say... they don't get along. There are reasons why yet to be explained. But Amenadiel has been tasked by God to come down to convince his brother to return to Hell, and by this point, in spite of Lucifer having claimed to be on vacation, Lucifer has decided he has no intention of ever returning to Hell. And his brother is angry with him because he believes Lucifer doesn't belong on Earth. He believes they all have a balance to maintain. Good and evil. In Amenadiel's eyes, angels are good and the Devil is evil, so of course Amenadiel is angry with Lucifer for not acting all evil as the world and all the angels believe him to be, when he's not. He has now begun to show mercy and restraint when interacting with the humans, which is most definitely unusual for someone who claims to be the Devil. :) And yet the angels and all the world only sees him as such. Lucifer doesn't appear to be evil such as the world and the stories about the Devil told in the Bible and throughout all of history believe him to be, and he most certainly hates being seen as such. He makes a point to say more than once throughout this episode that he gets a bad rap for everyone's sins and that people's sins are completely on them, as they should be. And I absolutely love this twist on his character. It's one of the many reasons why I feel so drawn to watching this show, because this version of Lucifer isn't at all like the others shown in other shows like Supernatural, Touched By an Angel, or in the movies. :) Lucifer's bartender and protector is Maze, or Mazikeen. And she's a demon Lucifer brought to Earth with him. I love her fierceness and how devoted she is to protecting Lucifer. Even though she too is now worried about him because she sees he's begun to change in a strange way as well. Maze has also established she's very promiscuous in her sexual life, and she's grown concerned that Lucifer is changing for the worst. And she doesn't like it. You can see the worry about his changes on her face in the ending of this episode. There's more to come for her character, like all other characters as well. Dan Espinoza is another detective who is one of Chloe's superiors, and he's also her soon to be ex husband and Trixie's father. Chloe and Dan aren't divorced yet, just separated. From this episode, I don't really care for him much and it's pretty clear Lucifer doesn't like him much either. However, Dan certainly is a character I can see who has great potential to become a character that grows on me. And Dan certainly doesn't like Lucifer either. And while Dan and Chloe aren't together any longer, they still have somewhat of a civil, if not platonic relationship for the most part, which is nice. Especially for Trixie's sake. And then there's Dr. Linda Martin... the therapist Chloe and Lucifer come to see while on their case. However, by the end of this episode, Lucifer comes to realize he needs help so he can try to understand human behavior and more, so he comes back to Linda and establishes a deal with her. Her help and someone to talk to about any personal dilemmas that might arise, in exchange for sex. She is clearly drawn to Lucifer just as most women are because of another of his superpowers that cause most woman to feel attracted to him. However, Linda also has more strength within her to be able to see in him what's troubling him, and has no qualms with calling him out on it. And I love her!! Lucifer is also known for making deals as is established when we meet Delilah... a woman who used to work for Lucifer at his nightclub, whom he accompanied her singing on the piano. And she's someone whom he made a deal with years earlier. Lucifer had gotten her into the music business and introduced her to the right people so she could become a rising star. In exchange for his help, she owes him a favor, which Lucifer cashes in when she comes back into his life. Like I mentioned above, I really love, love, love that this moment shows us that Lucifer isn't the all powerful, evil monster or devil that the world has believed him to be from the beginning of time, as Lucifer simply asks Delilah to pull her life back together. We see that he genuinely appears to care for this woman who has unfortunately become lost in life due to drugs and alcohol, and the wrong men who treat her badly. And Lucifer genuinely appears to want to help her pull her life back together. After all... he tells Delilah as such and like we know... he doesn't lie. Sadly, Delilah is killed thanks to who we later learn to be her music producer, who had her killed for the royalties that would come to him upon her death. I love seeing Lucifer work with Chloe to bring justice for Delilah and so he can punish the guilty. But more so, I deeply love how Lucifer feels guilty for setting Delilah up with Jimmy, because it shows a much deeper side to his character that we wouldn't expect to see from the Devil. And I love how he doesn't fully understand why too. As for a little background on Lucifer... Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and forced into Hell for his rebellion in Heaven, and then vilified so that everyone in the world would forever see him as the Devil, and as evil. And this is how Amenadiel sees him as well, as do all of his family, which is why Lucifer struggles so much with understanding human emotion and familial relationships. It's very sad really. But from this episode, you've already come to see that Lucifer isn't the Devil we've read about, or seen established in movies or other shows. He's very misunderstood, and we learn that while he is selfish in a lot of ways, there is also a lot of good in him as well. And he only punishes the lost and evil souls who he had come to be guardian over while living in Hell, and now the humans who are truly deserving of being punished for hurting innocent the people he and Chloe come across in their cases. People like Delilah. He isn't a killer like devils are portrayed in many other shows and movies. I love this episode's overall storyline and seeing Lucifer become involved in Detective Decker's case that he strongly forces his way into so he can bring justice to Delilah. I love the character development, and the characters are really why this show is so good. You will come to love and learn more about what makes them who they are, and you will hopefully come to love the relationships established among them all. And lastly... LUX is the name of Lucifer's nightclub that he now owns and has since he decided to stay in Los Angeles permanently. LUX is Latin for the word, light... and is a reference to Lucifer, which in Latin means Light-bringer. Overall... I love this show and I really, really enjoy this Pilot episode very much, So, thank you once again for your reaction for it! I really had a lot of fun watching this episode again with you. And I'm so happy that you're excited for more to come!!! I can't wait!! Until your next reaction for Lucifer, my friend... Be happy and stay healthy. :) Sincerely, Heidi
