An ice planet is simply a sphere of ice cream on a string. Comrade was the word you were looking for when describing a fellow soldier. Firefly takes place within a cluster of five different star systems all relatively packed close together. Compare that with Star Trek where they travel across half the galaxy, and Doctor Who which occurs over the entire universe. It's easy to understand that humans have never encountered aliens in Firefly since it's contained in such a smaller area. Lt. Womack is played by Richard Burgi. If you watch an old show called The Sentinel, he plays the main hero. I can't help but notice that when a woman is socially awkward, like Willow, we're supposed to find her cute and love her despite her fault. When a man is socially awkward though like our dear Simon, he's stupid or an asshole who needs to be fixed and is clearly in the wrong. Like it's some mental illness or he's that way on purpose. When you see a flash of lightning, start counting until you hear the accompanying thunder. For every four seconds it takes, the storm is a mile away from you. So if the second lightning/thunder pair takes less time to count, the storm is moving towards you and vice versa.
