There is no fear gene. Fear comes from the amygdala, a section of the brain. There is however a very rare genetic condition called Urbach-Wiethe disease, which only has 400 reporters cases since it was discovered in 1929. The disease affects a certain chromosome and causes different symptoms in every person that has it. In one person, it destroyed her amygdala, causing her to be unable to feel fear. Harmony is indeed played by Bianca Lawson who also played Kendra in Buffy.
