I think the opening sequence is a nod to the Season 2 opening of Lost. Even the 8-track tape (?!) that Doug plays is a song by Mama Cass who also was the singer of "Make Your Own Kind of Music" that Desmond was listening to! https://youtu.be/a7GkdaLSxeQ

That's so cool. Lost is a show that's still relevant today and people still honor. There are many shows that have been great in points in time but people forget about them, sadly... Like Sense8 😁

The actor playing Doug Forcett is Michael McKean, who I have never paid a lot of attention to, but is in several things I've seen or heard about. The movies This is Spinal Tap and A Mighty Wind. He played Perry White on Smallville, and more recently the show Better Call Saul and the miniseries Good Omens.
